12.13.14 - Happy Consecutive Day - And a Saturday for Christmas Shopping!

With today being 12.13.14, happy Consecutive Day to you all!  It's also a Saturday in December, which means Christmas Shopping.  Maybe with the day being what it is, it'll add some luck in finding the perfect Christmas gifts and all the best deals!

Here's some ideas I found on Gifts.com this morning.

• Monogramed wine glasses
• A Brogan crystal decanter.  Lovely and elegant, for when the kids go to bed and to have something to pour into those monogrammed wine glasses.  
• Beautifully colored nail polish and a manicure set that lasts as long as a Shellac manicure.
• A plot of land in Ireland. (What?!  It's no joke, or is it?  This mom thinks it sounds pretty cool!)
• Chocolate covered everything!  Strawberries, pretzels, just get the chocolate fountain!
• Bubble bath, candles, bath salts, her favorite scented oils and creams and anything else that helps her relax and be herself for a while.  This also needs to include some bonafide quiet time away from everything and everyone.  That's the most important part!

These are just a couple of ideas that are quick, simple and not very expensive (to include that plot of land in Ireland).  Share your own ideas, or maybe even the things on your wish list to help the rest of us out!

Shut Down, Update & Reboot.

You know when you have something on your mind and you just can't let it go?  It runs over and over, still the same, not evolving, not progressing and it just won't quit?  I need a CTRL+ALT+DELETE for my brain!  Something for a reset and an update.  A little push forward.

I'm walking away from my brain, this chicken salad, the Cabernet Sauvignon (don't judge me) and I'm going straight to the tub.  I'll write the rest of this after my bath.  Who are we kidding…. the Cab is coming with me.  :)

……….. (30 minutes later)  never mind, I'll be revisiting this tomorrow!  My brain and body is in full shut down mode.   Since being up at 4:30 this morning, so much has happened and more to come tomorrow.  I'm not ready to face that tonight.  Now is my time and so it should be yours if you want it.

To go along with the spirit of the website as a whole, here is the "voice" to The Every Mom Report in blog form.  I'll be sharing my opinions and experiences (starting tonight, btw), my faves and least faves, anything else that may spring into my head and I absolutely expect the same from each of you, with, of course, love and support in the heart and fingers typing.
